Topaz
Topaz is a semi-precious stone that is made up of fluorine aluminium silicate. It is known to symbolise love, affection and friendship, and is among the popular gemstones used in jewellery and in other ornamental and decorative items. Topaz is the stone of the month of November and represents the 4th year anniversary of marriage.

As to its physical characteristics and properties, topaz rates 8 in Mohs scale of mineral hardness. It has a basal atomic structure, and is usually hexagonal in shape. Yellow is the most popular colour for topaz, but the mineral also comes in range of colours including pink, blue, red, brown and sherry.
