Adults wear jewellery as status symbol or for fashion. But this is not the same case for teenagers. Teens wear jewellery for different reasons or even beliefs. And most of the time they wear jewellery to match their casual wardrobe. And most teens wear because they often think that the accessory fits and create a perfect fashion statement. Most teens are not that particular about the value of the jewellery they wear but rather the beauty of the jewellery.

Teens get their idea of jewellery for the various media they area exposed to. The internet, television and most magazines are most of its contributors. The evolution of MTV influenced most of their idea on what is hot and what is not. Most of the teens—well thank goodness not all of them, get the kind of image that their celebrity idols wear and the kind of jewellery they put on.

You may notice that teens wear a peace sign pendant or a yin-yang ring or a zodiac sign inspired bracelet. However, wearing these symbols does not entirely say that they are into something weird.

You might also notice that teens are into the punk culture and Gothic as with the clothes they wear the hair style they have and the jewellery they wear. Fashion for teens can go as far as piercing to almost any part of their body—where they can possibly think of.

Jewellery for teens has grown very popular that you may even see speciality stores sprung up selling them. You can even find most of them over the internet. Most of the teens jewellery are very affordable, colourful and so attractive.
